− | Ms. Grantz is currently serving in the Upper Colorado Region as Chief of the Adaptive Management Group. Since coming to Reclamation in 2007, she has worked as the lead hydrologist on Glen Canyon Dam where she planned and executed reservoir operations and developed advanced tools to effectively balance the competing water demands. She also served as technical lead of water operations on the Long Term Experimental and Management Plan Draft Environmental Impact Study, assisted in Reclamation’s Upper Colorado Region Drought Contingency Planning efforts, served as technical lead for Reclamation’s West-Wide Climate Risk Assessment, lead hydrologic modeler for the Upper Colorado Region, and served as co-chair of the San Juan Recovery Implementation Program Hydrologic Baseline work group. Prior to joining Reclamation, Ms. Grantz worked at the University of Colorado developing RiverWare, a river basin modeling tool. She also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching math and physical science in Malawi, Africa. She has bachelor degrees in German and Physics from Grinnell College (1997), a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado/Boulder (2003), and completed her doctorate in Civil Engineering-Water Resources from the University of Colorado/Boulder (2006). <br>
