- TEMPERATURE: Celcius to Fahrenheit Converter LINK
- 30ºC = 86.000ºF
- 16ºC = 60.800ºF
- 10ºC = 50.000ºF
Temparature --- FISH RELATED
- Twelve degrees Celsius (54 F) is the minimum for HBC growth and 16 degrees Celsius/ 61 F, is optimal. (NPS CFMP-EA_ pg 78)
- Volume not fluctuations is the strongest factor in downstream temperatures.
- For every 1 degree increase in temperature, predation vulnerability of HBC is decreased by about 5% (130220_AMWG Minutes)
Temparature --- DAM RELATED
- Warmest Glen Canyon dam release temperatures occur July- November.(RValdez)
TBD
- LCR: Warmest downstream temeratures (RM 62) and Middle Granite Gorge (RM 127)occur July-October, because of cooler fall temperatures and low sun angle.(RValdez)
- LAKE POWELL: Warmest surface temperature is July through August.
TBD
