(From Linda Whetton to GCDAMP_9-14-2012) Stakeholders and Colleagues,

GCMRC staff have developed a revised Graphical User Interface (GUI) that can be used to calculate sand loads that have come into the Colorado River from the Paria River and to calculate the amount of sand that has been retained in upper Marble Canyon, upstream from River Mile 30. The GUI works the same way as the previous version -- set the desired time frame and click "run." This is the link to the SandBox sediment modeling program:

Sediment Model Link

  • 1) Create a directory – (finding the data files is easier if this program has its own directory)
  • 2) Download SandBox.exe into the new directory
  • 3) Double Click SandBox.exe
