Mr. Cantrell has worked for the Arizona Game and Fish Department for 13 years. Prior to his employment with the Department, Mr. Cantrell received a B.S. in Zoology from Northern Arizona University in 2002 and his Certified Public Manager certificate through Arizona State University in 2010. In his current role as the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s Chief of Fisheries, Mr. Cantrell provides oversight of all fisheries and numerous aquatic management activities in the State of Arizona including the operation and maintenance of six fish and aquatic hatcheries. He is a current member of the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, the North American Society for Wildlife Management, and the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. Mr. Cantrell is serving as a representative on the Inland and Marine Fisheries Committee, Fish and Water Resources Policy Committee, Angler and Boating Participation Committee, Invasive Species Committee, Invasive Species Workgroup, the Aquatic Animal Drug Approval Working Group, and the Fisheries Chiefs meetings. Mr. Cantrell also serves as the Department’s representative to the American Fisheries Society, Administrative Section.
