Meghann Olson, Southern Paiute Consortium

Meghann Olson has served as the Water Resource Director/Public Health Emergency Preparadness Coordinator since October 2005. In her position as Water Resources director she maintains the public water systems for the tribe and conducts the drinking water testing per EPA requirements under the Safe Drinking Water Act. In her role as Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator she is responsible for developing a Tribal Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan and documenting participation in the development of an inclusion in regional health emergency preparedness plans maintained by the county, state, and the Indian Health Service.

Meghann attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and graduated in 2003; double majoring in Biology (Emphasis in Animal Behavior) and Environmental Sciences. She has also worked for the Bureau of Land Management in Craig, Colorado, as a wildland firefighter on the Craig Hotshots for four years before her employment with the Tribe.
