Arizona Game and Fish Department

Mr. Mann is the manager for the Aquatic Research Program working for the Arizona Game and Fish Department. In this position he supervises a team of biologists conducting long-term monitoring on the Colorado River as well as biologists conducting aquatic species research elsewhere in Arizona. He’s had a variety of experiences working with wildlife agencies on collaborative projects and played a key role on numerous projects including: (1) a study on the effects of high temperature exposure on migration success and embryo quality of Snake River adult Chinook salmon and steelhead, (2) a field project on energetic condition in spring Chinook populations, (3) a project on landscape factors affecting American Dippers, and (4) a study on the effects of high temperature exposure on migration success and embryo quality of Snake River adult Chinook salmon and steelhead. Ryan has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Biology and Zoology from Michigan State University and a Master’s Degree in Fishery Resources from the University of Idaho.
