Dawn Hubbs, Hualapai Tribe
Ms. Hubbs is currently serving as the Acting Director/Tribal Historic Preservation Officer/Archaeologist for the Hualapai Department of Cultural Resources. She has been a full-time employee with the Hualapai Department of Cultural Resources since 2006. In her career, she has had oversight of Section 106 Process of the National Historic Preservation Act for the Hualapai Tribe on cultural issues and concerns. She has been the NEPA Compliance Coordinator for Hualapai Tribe on cultural issues, NAGPRA Coordinator for the Tribe with federal agencies and museums, outreach coordinator for the Tribe with federal, public and private sectors on cultural resources, and principal investigator for cultural resources surveys and archaeological reports on the Hualapai Indian Reservation. She received a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California/Santa Cruz in 1995, an M.A. in Anthropology (Applied Archaeology) from Northern Arizona University in 1998, and a Ph.D. through research from the University of South Australia in 2005.
